Author Charlotte Kandel will be presenting The Scarlet Stockings: The Enchanted Riddle, the first in a triology.
Set in 1920's London, this book will appeal to girls 8-14 years old. Its protaganist, Daphne, is a spunky and imaginative fourteen year old growing up in a London orphanage. Daphne dreams that she will someday learn her parents identity and become a prima ballerina. When a mysterious box arrives with a pair of stockings and a book inscribed with a riddle, her journey to the truth begins.
Charlotte will be reading and signing books from 4-5:30.
